A blood test to check whether you have been exposed to the tuberculosis bacteria. This test does not check whether you have been immunised.

TB is a bacterial infection which affects the lungs and can also affect the nervous system. Altough it is rare in the UK, there is a prevalence of TB in large conurbations particularly in people who were born overseas. TB can be succesfully treated through anti-biotics although it can take up to 6 - 18 months for teatment to work.
