Oxalate - Urine
Oxalate is an organic acid found in many plants including certain vegetables, leafy greens, fruits, nuts and seeds. The kidneys remove oxalate from the body. If oxalate levels are too high in the body, the extra oxalate can combine with calcium to form kidney stones.
What might a high result mean?
An increased level of oxalate in the urine is a risk for calcium-oxalate kidney stones.
