Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in virtually every tissue in the body but is found in high concentrations in the fluids of the eyes and joints. Hyaluronic Acid is also associated with liver function and liver fibrosis.

What might a high result mean?

Elevated hyaluronic acid levels in the blood can indicate liver fibrosis, as liver fibrosis affects the removal of hyaluronic acid and can cause a rise in hyaluronic acid levels.
