Aspergillus fumigatus IgG is an antibody produced by the body a few weeks after infection with the fungus Aspergillus fumigatus. This is the most common species which causes the disease Aspergillosis.
What might a high result mean?
Levels of Aspergillus fumigatus IgG represent immunity to infection with the fungus. This means that those possessing IgG have previously been infected by Aspergillus fumigatus and are immune to subsequent infections.
